Vote Early In-Person
Be an early voter.
Together, we can build an Ohio for all of us.
Regardless of what you look like or where you live, you make our democracy stronger when your vote is counted. Previous generations of Ohioans came together across racial difference and fought to make sure that we have lots of options to safely and easily vote, even during a pandemic.
In addition to voting by mail or on election day, you also can vote early in-person between now and November 2 at your county Board of Elections.
Don’t forget to wear a mask, keep your hands clean, and practice social distancing guidelines when casting your vote in-person. It’s on all of us to keep each other safe.
If you requested an absentee ballot, you can return it via the dropbox at your county Board of Elections, the same place where early, in-person voting takes place.
Voting early, in-person is a safe and easy way to cast your ballot before Election Day!

Do I need voter ID for early in-person voting?
When you vote early in-person, you will be asked to provide either your drivers license number or the last four digits of your social security number as voter verification. If you vote in-person on Election Day, you will be asked to present a valid form of voter ID.
Can I vote in-person if I already requested a ballot in the mail?
If you already requested your absentee ballot but later decide you would rather vote early, in-person, you can do that at your Board of Elections until November 2. Bring the absentee ballot you received in the mail with you when you early vote in-person, if possible, but you can cast a ballot either way. However, if you already requested an absentee and try to vote on Election Day, you can still vote but you will cast a provisional ballot. Call the voter protection hotline at (866)-OUR-VOTE if you run into any problems casting your ballot.
